Both are late ’63 thru end-of-war basic “Salt & Pepper Jackets” and feature the following:

• Jacket back angles to a point, similar to Columbus Depot Type I Jacket
• Front edge of the jacket (on the left side line) lines up with the edge of the collar, causing the front edge of the jacket to fall on the center line of the body.

• Wool colors: natural jeanwool or sheep’s gray jeanwool
• Collar trimmed with dark blue wool
• 6 piece body
• 2 piece sleeves
• 5 wooden button front
• Short waisted, body length is 1" less than Columbus Depot Type I Jacket
• Back is cut straight across

• Single belt loop on left side (optional)

• Medium blue kersey wool collar
• Straight cuffs
• Block "I" or dished concave wooden buttons

Richmond Depot Jackets

The Richmond Depot Jackets were produced in three types - common features are:

• 6 piece body
• 2 piece sleeves
• 9 button front
• Choice of "A", "C" or "I" buttons supplied
• Bottom of jacket has a sharp corner (square cut)
• Lined with natural muslin
• Inside left breast pocket
